Any size and type of wire can be formed and shaped either by hand, multislide or
CNC wire forming machines.
Hand bending applications generally refer to small runs where the quantities are
small and is more commonly used to create samples for future larger runs.
Multislide machines are specialised machines that straighten, cut and form wire
into different shapes in medium to high volumes. There is generally a high set up
cost due to the cost of tooling, but this additional cost is compensated by the low
cost per unit due to the high production speeds of up to 3600 pieces per hour.

Our curtain hooks are made using a fully galvanised wire that has a 35g/m² zinc coating. All other curtain hooks are electro zinc plated after manufacture. This coating may look shinier, but doesn’t offer the guaranteed full coating or the corrosion protection offered by a fully hotdipped galvanised coating as used by Concept Wire.

All red galvanised wall ties are manufactured using Australian made ONESTEEL galvanised red walltie wire which has a guaranteed coating of 470g/m². This ensures peace of mind when using our wall ties in any brick cavity or brick veneer construction.
Test certificates are available on all of our walltie products, and all packaging associated with our wallties also fully complies with Australian Standard AS2699.1.2000.
We manufacture the full range of wallties including double loop and U-shape, and varying lengths including 175mm 195 and 225mm in both medium duty and heavy duty.
